Old tires are killing the trees

We have some more work to do on our Mason Lake Tree Farm. When we purchased the property, we noticed a large number of old tires scattered in one area. Upon closer inspection, we noticed quite a few trees growing up through the center of the tires. Several trees, maybe more, were being chocked by the tires and might eventually die.

We are going to build a road into the area and haul the tires to the dump. Last time we looked, the dump wanted $5 a tire for dump fees. There could be 1000 tires on the property, so this will be an expensive project.

We are really looking forward to cleaning this area up. Projects like this are my favorite because they make a massive impact on the environment.

Follow along with us on YouTube where we have several videos of the future cleanup.
