Projects

Here's just a small sampling of the impact we have made over the last couple years.

A load of telephone poles coming out of the woods.

Mason Lake Tree Farm

We purchased 110 acres in Mason County, Washington close to Mason Lake. The timber on this property was fairly old and defective and it was time for a timber harvest. We harvested approximately 25 acres in 2019 and another 4 acres in 2020. We have already planted 21,000 Western Red Cedar and Douglas fir seedlings. We have plans to clear brush and plant another 15,000 Noble fir and Douglas fir seedlings. There are several hundred tires, which were dumped on the property, that will be cleaned up as well. Follow along with us as we provide updates with the cleanup project.

Port Orchard Property

We purchased this property in 2020 with the intent to keep as a tree farm. We found the previous owner had allowed people to dump garbage and steal timber from the property. This property was in a sad state. We removed an illegal mobile home and 5 tons of garbage of the property. We improved the road and realized the parcels would make better home sites. Three people were able to build homes on this property and were very happy. We don’t like selling property after we acquire it, but in this case, we decided people need houses too.

Port Orchard 2 Property

We purchased this property in 2020 with the goal of making a long-term tree farm. We found the property in disarray with 5 tons of trash and tires. We hauled away the trash and began to clear away the brush. We found lots of illegal dumping. We plan on harvesting a small amount of the timber on the property and replanting with Noble fir. A portion of the property makes sense to create building sites for homes, so we will pursue that option in this case. The one thing we love doing is finding a property like this, getting it cleaned up and replanting it.
